Bio1: Son of Mr. and Mrs. Salem Hartman, enlisted in 1917, was sent to Gettysburg and placed with Company B. 59th Infantry. Was transferred to Camp Green. Sailed in 1917, returned in July 1919 and was honorably discharged the next month.
