Bio1: BATES, FRANK L-Son of Mr. Eugene Bates. Enlisted Sept. 1916, was assigned to Newport, R. I., attached to the Navy. He was on board the U. S. S. Rhode Island and U. S. S. Arkansas. He went overseas Sept. 1917, returned Dec. 1919.
