OBITUARY NOTICES OF PENNSYLVANIA SOLDIERS OF THE REVOLUTION

[The following obituary notices of officers and privates who
served in the Continental Line and Militia of Pennsylvania during
the Revolution have been collected from the newspapers of Montgomery
John Solliday.-Another Revolutionary soldier gone! Died, at Sumnytown,
on Wednesday last 19th of Jan.1842, Mr. John Salliday, aged about 89
years. The deceased served in the Militia of the State, in the Revolutionary
war, for which, during the last few years, he has received a pension from
the Commonwealth. Mr. Solliday was extensively known and much esteemed for
his many good qualities.
