A. CLAIR REESE
A. Clair Reese, 71, Jefferson Avenue, Portage, died Thursday, Apr. 3, 1986, in Pittsburgh. .
He was born June 25, 1914, in Johnstown, the son of the late Arthur and Edna (Roberts) Reese. Also preceded in death by daughter, Patricia.
Survived by his widow, the former Blanche Crum ; and these children: Judith Ann, wife of James Schornick, Manassas, Va.; Thomas, married to the former Helene Miller, Yardley; Jane, wife of Carl Biss, Johnstown; and Janet, wife of Stanley Avramis, Salix; also four grandchildren and was the brother of Eugene, Ebensburg; Robert, Davenport, Fla.; Irene Walters and Edna Berkhimer, both of Blue Knob; and Miriam Patterson, Jamestown, Portage R.D.l.
A former coal miner, he was a member of Local 1318, UMWA, and Bethany United Methodist Church and retired from the Iron City Sash and Door Co. and was an avid carpenter.
Friends were received at the Dennis C. Beck Funeral Home, Portage, where service was held Monday, Apr. 7, by the Rev. Eugene R. Barrett. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
