[The following obituary notices of officers and privates who
served in the Continental Line and Militia of Pennsylvania during
the Revolution have been collected from the newspapers of Montgomery
John Wentz.-Died March 11, 1818, at his residence in Whitpain township,
John Wentz Esq. in the 58th year of his age, after a lingering illness.
The various trusts both of a military and civil nature confided to him
by his country, from an early period of his life he discharged with
fidelity, ability and integrity.
