Joseph Crawford.-Departed this life on Friday 12th. inst. Mr. Joseph
Crawford, of Lower Providence township, Montgomery county, in the 88th
year of his age. The deceased was a Revolutionary soldier, and a
gentleman whom to know was to esteem. During a long and useful life he
exhibited a character for probity and correctness in all his dealings,
which won general confidence in all his business relations. At a good
old age he is gathered to his fathers-his body consigned to the silent
tomb, while his memory is cherished by a numerous kindred, and his
friends and neighbors bear testimony to his good deeds. "Peace Be to
his Ashes."
