TRAINING IN FLORIDA
Former Lakemont Park employee Is With
Uncle Sam’s Forces
Leroy P. Lonsdale, aged 21, son of
Mrs. Annie Lonsdale of 219 Front street,
Lakemont, is now serving with Squad-
ron A, aero service, at the Dorr Field, Ar-
cadia, Fla. He enlisted in the aero squad-
ron on Dec. 12, 1917, in this city.
Leroy was formerly trained at Kelly
Field where he made his first flights. Be-
Fore enlisting he was employed at the
Merry-go-round at Lakemont park and
He was favorably known as “Pulc.” He
worked during the off peak season as a
webler in the Twelfth street shops.
