STRASLICKA, ANDREW-Son of Andrew Straslicka, enlisted in the Marine Corps and was sent to Paris Island. Was placed with Headquarters Company, 5th Regiment, 2nd Division. Sailed overseas June 13, 1917. Was wounded by shrapnel. Given a Croix de Guerre for bravery in the Belleau Woods. Returned Aug. 4, 1919 and is still in service Sept. 1, 1919.
