EDWARD GETTINGER, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania WWI Veteran

GETTINGER, EDWARD-Son of Mrs. Mary Gettinger, enlisted May 17, 1918. Was assigned to Fort Benjamin Harrison and placed with Company A, 48th Engineers. Sailed overseas Aug. 1, 1918, had his hand smashed transferring Freight. Returned Jan. 3, 1919 and was honorably discharged Feb. 8, 1919.
