RYAN, WILLIAM B.-Enlisted June 13, 1917 with the 17th Engineers. Stationed at Atlanta, Ga. Sailed overseas July 28, 1918, was commissioned, Captain, Major, then Lieutenant Colonel. Was on Gen. Pershing's Staff. Awarded a Distinguished Service Medal and a Legion of Honor and order of G. E. Service. Returned Sept. 23, 1919. Honorably discharged Oct. 16, 1919.
