MICHAEL SCHMITT, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania WWI Veteran

SCHMITT, MICHAEL-Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmitt, entered service Oct. 6, 1917, was sent to Camp Lee and placed with Company M, 166th Infantry, 42nd Division. Sailed in Feb. 1918, was wounded in the leg, returned Nov. 9, 1918 and was Sept. 1, in the hospital at Fox Hill, Staten Island, N. Y.
