HOFFMAN, ALVIN RUSSELL-Son of Mrs. Alice May Hoffman, entered service June 28, 1917 and was assigned to Newport, R. I., to N. T. S. Portsmouth and transferred to U. S. Ship Pocahontas, made twelve trips across, returned Feb. 1919 and was honorably discharged March 10, 1919.
