COWAN, JOHN-Son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cowan, entered service April 1, 1913, was assigned to Fort Sill and attached to the 5th Field Artillery, Battery E, 1st Division, sailed, received shrapnel wounds, returned with Pershing and is still in service. He holds rank of Sergeant.
