WHITEMAN, JOSEPH F.-Son of Mrs. Sara J. Whiteman. Entered service May 25, 1913. Assigned to Camp Dix and Gordon. Attached to Company M, 16th Infantry, 1st Division. Went overseas July 1918. and was wounded. Returned April 2, 1919, and was honorably discharged April 29, 1919.
