SMITH, MATTHEW-Son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith. Entered service Oct. 11, 1917. Was assigned to Washington Barracks and attached to Company A, 6th Engineers, 3rd Div. Went overseas Dec. 1917, was wounded, causing the loss of the left leg. Returned March 12, 1919, and is still in service.
