CHERNITSKY, JOHN E.-Son of Mrs. Elizabeth Chernitsky, entered service Sept. 23, 1917, was sent to Camp Gordon and attached to Company H, 327th Infantry, 82nd Division. He sailed overseas May 1, 1918, was gassed and shell shocked, returned in Feb. 1919 and was honorably discharged from service in Sept. 1919.
