SAM, ESAU-Son of Mrs. Mary Sam, Irwin, Pa. Entered service Sept. 18, 1917. Went to Camp Dix, then Green and was attached to Company H, 7th Infantry, 3rd Div. He sailed overseas April 6, 1918. Was wounded in the head in the Meuse Argonne Offensive. Returned to the United States Aug. 21, 1919, and honorably discharged from service on the 27th of that month.
