EWALD, FRED-Son of Mrs. Samuel Richards, North Irwin, Pa. Entered service Jan. 23, 1918. Was sent to Douglas, Arizona, and attached to Troop M, 15th Cavalry. He sailed for France March 14, 1918, returned to the United States June 19th, 1919, and was honorably discharged from service June 25, 1919, with the rank of Corporal.
