DAVIS, HOWARD C.-Son of Mrs. Sarah Davis, Irwin. Pa. Entered service Sept. 22, 1917, and was assigned to Camp Lee, transferred to Camp Gordon and Camp Upton. Went overseas in May 1918. Cited for efficient first-aid treatment to a wounded comrade while under heavy shell fire in the Meuse-Argonne on Oct. 7, 1918. Returned to the United States and was discharged on May 29, 1919, at Camp Dix with rank of Sargeant.
