GITTENS, JOHN A-Shafton, Pa. Entered service in August 1918. Went to Camp Wadsworth and was attached to Headquarters Company, 56th Pioneer Infantry. He sailed overseas in Sept. 1918. Returned to the United States in June 1919, and was honorably discharged from service later that month.
