WHALEN, JOHN L.-Son of Mr. and Mrs. John Whalen, Irwin, Pa. Entered service Nov. 10, 1917, with Battery F, 17th Field Artillery, 2nd Div. He sailed overseas Dec. 19th, 1918. Returned to the United States in August 1919, and was honorably discharged from service on the 16th of that month.
