FLAHERTY, JOHN M.-Son of Mrs. Michael O'Connell. Entered service Sept. 19, 1917. Trained at the New York Armory and was sent overseas Dec. 2, 1917, with Company D, 409th Telephone Battalion, Signal Corps. He was in a Motorcycle accident, returned to the United States Oct. 21, 1918, and was honorably discharged from service April 18, 1919
