JOHN S WRIGHT, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania WWI Veteran

WRIGHT, JOHN S.-Son of Mrs. Jessie A. Wright, Irwin, Pa. Enlisted April 14, 1917, in the Marine Corps, went to Paris Island, was attached to the 47th Company, 5th Regiment, 2nd Division. He sailed for France in June 1917, was wounded by shrapnel June 25, 1918, was awarded a Croix de Guerre. Returned to the United States Sept. 9, 1918, and was at the time of publication in Walter Reed Hospital.
