SHIELDS, JOSEPH M.-Son of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Shields, Irwin. Pa. Enlisted in July, 1918, in the United States Navy He was stationed at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Bremerton Navy Yard, then Washington, D. C., and was honorably discharged from service with the rank of Chief Quartermaster.
