DUFFY, PETER R.-Son of Peter Duffy, of Larimer, Pa. He entered service June 26, 1916, with Company L, 111th Infantry, and was assigned to Camps Stewart, Hancock and Dix. Corporal Duffy went overseas May 5, 1918, and was in the battles of Chateau Thierry, Forest, De Fere, Furtur, Fimes and Fismette. He was wounded by shrapnel and was slightly gassed and returned from overseas in Feb. 1919, and honorably discharged the same month.
