SMART, WILLIAM-Son of Mrs. William Holmes, entered service Jan. 1918, was assigned to Camp Lee and attached to the 305th Motor Supply Train, 80th Division. Went overseas May 1918, was gassed, returned April 20, 1919 and was honorably discharged June 1919 with the rank of Corporal.
