VERNER, SAMUEL FRANKLIN-of Mr. and Mrs. Yerner, Ligonier, Pa. Enlisted in Sept. 1918, in the Great Lakes Naval Training School. He was on board the U. S. S. Kearsage, made three trips overseas and was released from active service in Sept. 1919.
