BERRINGER, WALTER C.-Son Mr. and Mrs. Frank Berringer, Ligonier, Pa. Entered service in April 1917. He was stationed at Camp Lee, placed with Company D, 1st Provost Guards, 80th Div. Captured a Negro who was a spy, and was poisoning the water the soldiers were to drink. He was honorably discharged from service Nov. 1, 1918.
