DANIEL GEORGE, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania WWI Veteran

GEORGE, DANIEL-Son of Leonard G. and Elizabeth George, enlisted June 19, 1915 in the Marine Corps. Was attached to Company 66, 5th Regiment, 2nd Division, was sent to Norfolk and attached to the U. S. S. Nebraska, Louisana and Rhode Island. Sailed June 11, 1917, was awarded a Croix de Guerre for bravery under fire, returned Nov. 1, and was honorably discharged June 23, 1919.
