Thomas F Reese

Thomas F. Reese. 87, of Woodland Street, Ebensburg, died Jan. 22, 2003 at home.

Born Oct. 14, 1915, in Bethel, Blacklick Township, he was the son of the late Irvin T. and Annie (Anderson) Reese.


He was preceded in death by his wife. the former Mary Machuta; brothers. Judson, Enoch, Arthur and Ernest; and sisters, Myrtle Peterson, Minnie Elliott. and Olive Edwards.

Survivors include these step-children: Rose Marie George, Homer City R.D.; Frank Augustosky, Virginia; Louise Kachik, Nanty Glo; John Augustosky, Nanty Glo; Judy Orlando, Vintondale R.D.; and Steve Augustosky, of Georgia. Also surviving are numerous step-grandchildren; several nephews, including nephew and buddy Paul Carney, Strongstown; and sister, Jessie Carney, Strongstown.

Mr. Reese was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Belsano. Retired in 1974 from Revloc Mine #32. Tom was a member of the Steve Klosz Post 7605 VFW, Twin Rocks; Blue Goose Sportsmen Club; and U.M.W.A.

Friends were received from 2-5 p.m .Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, the Rev. Clayton Harriger officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.
