William Albert "Al" Reese, 82, Richland Township, died Oct. 21, 2001, at Potomac Hospital, Woodbridge, Va.

Born Sept. 27, 1919, in Ebensburg, he was the son of William and Rachel (Jones) Reese.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris (Campbell) Reese; brothers, Cloyd, Emlyn, Winston, and Merle; sister, Blodwyn.

Survived by his son, Randolph A., married to the former Jane Wissinger, Woodbridge, Va.; and grandchildren, Adam C. and Lindsey J. Reese, both of Woodbridge, Va. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Al was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from Sears Roebuck and Company where he was employed as a salesman.

Al was a member of the Salix Bethel United Methodist Church, Salix: Menoher Post #155 VFW, St. Michael American Legion Post #551, St. Michael, and the Rise 'n and Stride Walkers. After retiring, Al enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.

Friends were received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland and Saturday, Oct. 27 one hour prior to service at 2 p.m. at Salix Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jon C. Gulnac.

Interment, Richland Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW Ritual Team. Memorial contributions may be directed to Salix Bethel United Methodist Church. 1021 Forest Hills Drive, Salix, PA 15952 in memory of Al.
