Major, Ordnance Department. Entered service September 23, 1917.
Stationed at Watertown Arsenal, Watertown, Massachusetts.
Honorably discharged, January 3, 1919.
CADWALADER, THOMAS,
Entered service June, 1917, as 1st Lieutenant Cavalry, U. S. N. G.;
promoted Captain, M. P. C., U. S. A., October 12, 1918. Service in
A. E. F. from February 4, 1918, to February 2, 1919. Duty at Lyons,
Paris, Nantes, Angouleme, Fresnes, Chateau Thierry, Blois, Tours
and Mezy-sur-Marne, France. Honorably discharged, February 18, 1919.
CARPENTER, EDWARD,
Lieutenant Colonel, Field Artillery, U. S. A., 79th Division, 1917;
Colonel Coast Artillery, commanding Fort Monroe, 1917; Colonel
and Inspector General and assigned to the 4th Corps, A. E. F., 1918-
1919. San Mihiel offensive operations on the Meuse and operations
in the vicinity of the Moselle River and Valley; marched through
Germany to the Rhine. Gassed in the San Mihiel Salient, October,
1918. Returned to the United States, 1918 and is now (April, 1919)
on duty as Inspector General, Port of Debarkation, Hoboken, New
Jersey. In regular army.
CASSATT, ROBERT KELSO,
Major, Quartermaster’s Corps, U. S. A.; entered August 6, 1918;
duty at Washington, D. C.; transferred to War Plans Division and
Operations, General Staff, U. S. A. Honorably discharged,
December 4, 1919.
CLAPP, ALGERNON ROBERTS,
Entered service June 1, 1917; commissioned 1st Lieutenant, Air
Service, U. S. N. A., September 25, 1917. Served at various camps
in the United States. Honorably discharged, February 28, 1919.
CLEMENT, CHARLES MAXWELL,
Major General, U. S. N. A. and U. S. N. G. Entered July 14, 1917;
commanded at Camps Stewart and Hancock; and the 28th Division
in war; overseas September-November, 1917. Honorably discharged
from military service December 11, 1917.
CLEMENT, JOHN KAY,
Major, 18th Pennsylvania Infantry, U. S. N. G., later the 111th
Infantry, U. S. N. A., from April 14, 1917, to May 3, 1918. Duty at
Erie and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Camp Hancock, Georgia.
Transferred to Ordnance Department, May 3, 1918; promoted
Lieutenant Colonel, July 16, 1919. Service at Muscle Shoals,
Alabama. Still in service, November, 1919.
COLKET, GEORGE HAMILTON,
Captain, Judge Advocate General’s Department, U. S. N. A. Entered
July 26, 1918. Duty at Camp Pike, Arkansas; with Alien Property
Custodian, Washington, D. C.; and in office of Naval Intelligence,
Philadelphia. Honorably discharged, December 28, 1918.

First served at Fort Niagara Training Camp for Officers, May, 1917;
